In the neighborhood

Here are two recent sketchbook pages made from places close to my house.  I used fine point marker and watercolor.  The goal in both was to capture the space and eclectic nature of the scene. The view from Dunkin Donuts was particularly unattractive but I enjoyed observing the overlapping forms.  I  saw quite a few people navigating in wheelchairs. This is a  rather hostile environment for anyone not in a car.View from DD

  1. Lisa, it was so nice to run into you on Maine St. The final pieces are very nice. I especially like the RR crossing.
